‘A/Level Exam date to be decided after a survey’, The Ministry of Education stated.
The Ministry of Education has reached a decision to conduct a survey among Advanced Level students pertaining to the date to conduct the A/Level Examination.
Minister Dullas Alahapperuma said the survey will be conducted after schools for Grade 13 reopen on the 6th of July.
Minister Dullas Alahapperuma noted that parents aren’t sending their children to compete in sports as they are afraid, they will fail their exams.
It was the Ministers opinion that the world doesn’t seek out children who are skilled at sports to go forward in life.
He revealed that the Ministry planned to close schools for 3 months and hold exams on the 7th of September, but didn’t as students stated the time was insufficient and requested a few weeks more.
Minister Alahapperuma said they will conduct a survey for the first time among students from the 6th to the 8th and 9th.
A final decision will be taken based on the feedback.
